Honeypatch squash
Currently available in the Boston region from October to January.
Behind The Seeds
Selected by breeder Michael Mazourek to reimagine the workaday butternut, the Honeypatch packs concentrated sweetness into a single-serving squash.
"This is what butternut squash should taste like: honey sweet, custardy, and jaw-droppingly delicious. Just slice in half, roast and serve."
— Dan Barber, chef and Row 7 co-founder
Cooking
Slice in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Lay face up on a sheet tray, brush with oil, and season with salt. Cover with foil and roast at 400°F until soft enough to scoop with a spoon, about 45 to 60 minutes.
Storage
Store squash in a cool, dark place.
Packaging
100% Home Compostable and Recyclable. The world needs more plants, not plastic. That’s why our Honeypatch squash packaging is made entirely from plant material. Compost it in your garden, or toss it in the recycling bin—the only thing it will leave behind is more organic matter for the soil.
Growing
Grown in New York.
We partner with regional organic farmers to support biodiversity above and below ground.
Grown by Duncan Family Farms & Martin Farms.
